Agriculture Tractor R28
Twenty-eight horsepower, four-wheel drive, new. The size that fits between the rows.
28 hp · 4×4

What this machine is
A new R28 agriculture tractor. Four-wheel drive, a 28 hp Laidong engine and an 8 forward, 2 reverse manual gearbox. No cab.
It is the smallest of the four agriculture tractors we hold and the entry point to the range.
What it is used for
Agriculture, on holdings measured in a few hectares rather than in hundreds.
Smallholder cultivation. Rotavating, light ploughing, harrowing and ridging on a family plot.
Orchards and plantations. Working between rows of trees, where a wider, heavier tractor either does not fit or damages roots and low branches.
Market gardening. Beds, paths and glasshouse approaches, where manoeuvring matters more than pulling power.
Stationary PTO work. Driving a water pump, a thresher, a mill or a small generator. On many holdings this is what the tractor does most of the year, and it does not need horsepower to do it.
Light haulage. A small trailer of produce, feed or inputs from the field to the road.
Why the smallest tractor is the right one for some buyers
Every farmer asked what tractor they want says a bigger one. The honest case for this machine is that on a small holding, power is not the constraint.
Access is. A tractor that cannot turn at the end of a short row, or fit between fruit trees, or get through a gate, is doing no work at all. Twenty-eight horsepower on a small frame goes where a 70 hp machine cannot.
Ground damage is. A heavier tractor compacts soil, and on intensive beds and orchard floors that compaction costs yield year after year. Light is a feature.
Cost of running is. Fuel, tyres and parts all scale with the machine. On a holding that needs a tractor for two hours a day, the small one is the one that pays.
Where it is the wrong choice is open arable ground. If you are ploughing hectares at a time, 28 hp will do it and it will take all season, and you should be looking at the 504 or the 904 instead. We will say so if you tell us your acreage.
Condition, and what we do before it ships
These tractors are new, so the workshop pass is preparation and export prep rather than refurbishment. What we photograph is the actual machine, before it loads, so you can see the unit rather than a catalogue image.
Settle the implements in the same conversation as the tractor. A tractor without the implements to do your job is a machine that sits. Tell us what you need, a plough, a rotavator, a trailer, a pump, and we will tell you what we can supply with it and what is better bought locally.
Shipping it
No shipping volume is published on this page, because our catalogue does not print dimensions for any of the farm tractors. We are not going to estimate one: a wrong CBM is a wrong freight quotation and you would find out at the invoice.
We measure the actual machine and quote from that. It is the smallest thing in this catalogue and it ships accordingly, and where you are taking more than one, several fit in the space a single truck occupies.
Loaded at our yard in Tangshan, shipped through Tianjin Port.
What to tell us
Your holding size and what you grow. The implements you need. How many tractors, because on machines this size the freight per unit falls sharply with quantity. Your destination port.
Questions buyers ask about this machine
What can 28 hp actually do?
Rotavating and light ploughing on a smallholding, running a small PTO implement such as a pump or a thresher, pulling a light trailer, and inter-row work in an orchard or a plantation. It is not a ploughing tractor for open arable land, and it is not sold as one.
Why four-wheel drive on a small tractor?
Because a light tractor has little weight to convert into traction. Four-wheel drive is what stops 28 hp becoming 15 hp of useful pull the moment the ground is soft. On a small machine it matters more than it does on a large one.
What is the shipping volume?
Our catalogue does not print dimensions for the farm tractors, so there is no CBM on this page and we are not going to estimate one. We measure the actual machine and quote the freight from that. It is a small tractor and it is the cheapest thing in this catalogue to ship.
Is it really new?
Yes. All four agriculture tractors we hold are new machines. They are the only new line in our range apart from one or two individual trucks, and it is why the condition section on this page is short.
