A SANY SY365H-9, a 36-tonne crawler excavator in SANY’s heavy-duty configuration. The engine is an Isuzu GH-6HK1XKSC producing 212 kW (284 hp) at 2000 rpm. It takes a bucket of 1.8 to 2.3 m³, digs to 7.05 m and reaches 10.78 m.
Transport dimensions are 11.53 m long, 3.19 m wide and 3.545 m high, which is 131 m³ on the vessel.
Mine production. Loading ore and waste into wide-body mining trucks shift after shift. This is the job the H build exists for.
Quarrying. Working blasted rock at the face, where the bucket teeth, the bucket lip and the arm take a beating a general-purpose machine is not built to absorb.
Heavy civil work. Dam foundations, large road cuttings and river training, anywhere the volume is high and the ground is hard.
SANY builds the SY365 in more than one form. The standard machine is a contractor’s excavator. The H is the one specified for rock.
The difference is in the steel. A heavy-duty boom and arm, a stronger bucket linkage and a reinforced track frame are what let a 36-tonne machine spend its life in a pit rather than a building site. A general-purpose excavator put on the same job lasts, but it spends more of its life in the workshop.
Why SANY. SANY is one of the largest excavator builders in the world and its machines are now a common sight on African mines and road contracts, with dealer networks in most of the countries we ship to. For a buyer, that means parts within reach and mechanics who have seen the machine before.
Why the Isuzu matters. The engine is the part of an excavator a buyer should worry about most, and this one is the Isuzu 6HK1 family, one of the most widely used engines in large excavators from several makers. Filters, injectors and rebuild kits are standard stock.
Through our own workshop before it loads, with photographs at each stage.
The engine plate and the hour meter. Ask for both. The engine should read GH-6HK1XKSC.
The undercarriage. On a 36-tonne machine, track chains and rollers are the largest single cost you will face. Ask for close photographs of the sprockets and the track links.
The hydraulic system. A video of the machine digging and slewing at full load tells you more than any report. Ask for one.
131 m³, calculated from the dimensions, and one of the biggest single items we list. Heavy excavators usually travel on a flat rack or as breakbulk. Loaded at our yard in Tangshan, shipped through Tianjin Port.
The material you dig, the trucks you load, and the hours per day. The bucket size you need within the 1.8 to 2.3 m³ range. Your destination port and the quantity.
It is SANY's heavy-duty build of the 36-tonne machine, set up for mining and quarry work: a strengthened boom and arm, a reinforced undercarriage and a bucket sized for rock rather than soil. The 9 is the generation.
SANY fits the Isuzu 6HK1 in its larger excavators because the engine has a long record in heavy equipment worldwide. It is the same family found in Hitachi and Case machines of this size, so mechanics know it and parts for it are not specific to SANY.
With a 1.8 to 2.3 m³ bucket it loads an 8×4 tipper or a wide-body mining truck in a handful of passes. Loading a small 4×2 truck with a machine like this wastes most of what you paid for.
131 m³ on the vessel, calculated from 11.53 × 3.19 × 3.545 m. That is one of the largest shipping volumes we list, and it is worth knowing before you compare freight quotes. At 3.19 m wide it needs a wide-load permit on most road networks.
Only what the catalogue actually prints. A row that is not here is a figure we do not have yet. Ask, and we confirm it against the machine in our yard rather than guess at it.
Sea freight is charged on volume, not weight. This one occupies 131 m³. Loaded at Tangshan City, Hebei, shipped through Tianjin Port. What CBM does to your bill → Where we ship from →
